The Athletics are bringing back Seth Brown from Triple-A, selecting his contract and adding him back to the active roster while placing starting catcher Shea Langeliers on the IL before starting the Orioles series:

The Athletics recalled catcher Jhonny Pereda and selected outfielder Seth Brown from Triple-A Las Vegas, placed catcher Shea Langeliers on the 10-day injured list with a strained left oblique, and designated outfielder Drew Avans for assignment, the club announced today.
